I know it's a long laborious task but at least I knew it would work when I finally finished and there was no way I was going to let EA win lol! In other words, I installed the Base Game followed by its patch from 1.0.631 to 1.12.70 then installed the next disc and its patch and carried on, in the same way, making sure the game loaded between each one. When I had to install the game on my new system, I used the incremental patches and applied them after each disc, just as I would have when originally installing. So it's not the corrupted files I've never had much luck with the Super Patch either. I don't want to do the triple purchase.įor addition, this morning I used CC Cleaner and deleted all the sims 3 stuff from registry, then re installed the sims 3 base. Is there only way to go for 1.69 only? I don't want to waste more money in steam because I purchased digital download all from origin and also have all DVDs of EPs and SPs.
I got 1.67 patch through launcher, and then I got this alert,"there was an error during startup." So I uninstalled the sims 3 again, then re installed it, then I manually downloaded the super patcher from sims vip and installed it, then I got the same alert. There was no problem to run the launcher at that time. So this morning, I backed up my sims 3 folder, and removed all the sims 3 stuff from control panel. I renamed my saved to my saved game.sims3, then ran the game again but it didn't come back. Most of the saved games are not shown in the main screen even though I still have those saved files in Saves folder. I did what he or she said and I was able to play the sims 3.
I had a live chat with EA yesterday about this issue, he or she said,"Sometimes, Origin doesn't sync the installed games in computer, so go to the safe mode, then your issue will be solved'. Yesterday, I opened Origin to play the sims 3 but suddenly, it asks me to 'Download' even though I still have the base game and all EPs installed in control panel. Hi I really don't like 1.69 patch in origin.
