Restore driver back to a previous version (option is greyed out).
trying to update the driver manually (windows determins it up to date). waiting 3 days for it to start working again.
Re plugging the joystick in, and into different usb ports. After about 3 days the joystick started working again and re-apeared inĭevices and Printers up untill a few days ago when there was another windows update which did exactly the same thing as the last update, however it has been over 5 days now and it has not started working again or re-apeared in Removed my joystick from Devices and Printers and stopped it working. Also last year there was a windows update on shut down, that afterwards I have a, MICROSOFT SIDEWINDER PRECISION 2 JOYSTICK (not PRECISION PRO nor PRECISION 1) That is incompatible for windows 7 but still runs perfectly after plugging it in one day (last year).
